WP1: Understand value creation & fair value appropriation in small-actor food value chains Università di Bologna UNIBO
  • To determine a fair distribution of the food euro
  • To define a fair product inventory
  • To find factors that build consumers’ fairness judgments in food chains and test consumers’ buying intention for fair food products.
  • To provide business models analysis and mapping of employed technologies for value creation
WP2: Multiactor strategy to increase the competitiveness of MED agri-food chains Centre for Research and Technology Hellas – Hellenic Institute of Transport CERTH/ HIT
  • To provide optimised governance & operational models of agri-food supply chain systems
  • To deliver tools to increase the competitiveness of MED agri-food chains
WP3: Pilot testing University of the Aegean – Department of Food Science and Nutrition UoA/FSN
  • To select the ingredients among the GourMed products on the basis of targets delivered by WP2
  • To obtain a well characterized prototype of Med food in collaboration with supporting companies suitable to match consumers expectations.
  • To deliver tools to increase the competitiveness of MED agri-food chains
  • To demonstrate the improved Gourmed food quality of ready to eat meals (shelf life, nutritional health aspects) and its changes during shelf life
  • To validate a block chain approach on einkorn food chain (in collaboration with supporting Company Prometeo)
  • To determine the final product formulation of at least two GourMed products suitable to give a high food quality and a high appreciation by consumers
WP4: Sustainability assessment Institut für Energie- und Umweltforschung IFEU
  • To identify ‘sustainability hotspots’ along the full supply chain from farm to consumer
  • To develop guidelines for management and operation of sustainable Mediterranean agri-food systems
  • To derive key performance indicators which help consumers to identify sustainable MED agri-food products
WP5: Dissemination & Commercialisation of project outputs BIOLIVAL-ISBM
  • Spreading information on the project’s activities and results widely among stakeholders.
  • Ensuring the right coordination among the Expert Network and Clustering to increase the quality through an integrated, targeted and participatory dissemination approach.
  • Promote the main exploitable outputs developed during the project to potential adopters affiliated or not with Gourmed in pilot countries and beyond.
  • Establishing synergies and boosting new collaboration with external parties, such as public authorities and international organizations.
  • Develop pathways to commercial and non-commercial sustainability that lends continuity to Gourmed results well after the end of the project.
  • To support innovation through the development of a start-up acceleration program that aims to provide networking, educational and mentorship opportunities from the GourMed OIC members.
WP6: Project Management Centre for Research and Technology Hellas – Hellenic Institute of Transport CERTH/HIT
  • To ensure the effective administration of the project activities according to the rules and regulations of the PRIMA Programme, and according to sound project management and coordination practices
  • To ensure that all project outcomes are of high quality, meet their objectives and are delivered according to the agreed time- and resource-planning
  • To ensure that all potential risks are identified at an early stage, and appropriate actions for their mitigation/avoidance are implemented
  • To manage all administrative and technical issues related to the operation of the project partners and stakeholders and to ensure their effective and efficient operation in fulfilling their role within the scope of the project
  • To ensure an effective interface to the PRIMA Programme and to achieve smooth communications among the partners and with external entities.
